The most widely applied ISO 9001 standard on a global scale was revised in 2015. The deadline for transition to the 2015 version is 14.09.2018.
With the new version of the ISO 9001:2015 Standard, a High Level Standard structure has been created in line with ISO ANNEXSL requirements. Thanks to this structure, the same definitions and headings are included in all management system standards.
Risk-based approach is the most prominent feature of ISO 9001:2015 version. It is the application of risk with a systematic approach instead of considering it as a single component of the Quality Management System. With the risk-based approach to be applied in the Quality Management System, the risk-based approach of preventive activities has been brought to the forefront in order to ensure and support continuous improvement of the system from reactive to proactive.
Expectations and Needs of Interested Parties is one of the important changes in the ISO 9001:2015 version. The second change is that the new version requires a context analysis as well as stakeholder (interested parties) identification and understanding their expectations. It is aimed to demonstrate the adequacy of product and service provision, compliance with legal requirements and to increase customer satisfaction.
