According to article 8.3; GGYS mark (i.e. ISO 22000 brand or logo) cannot be added on the product or its primary/secondary packaging;

According to article 8.4, any statement indicating that it is GGYS certified (i.e. our company that manufactures according to ISO 22000 conditions. GGYS is applied in our organization… etc.) cannot be added.

When ordering new packaging, it is important to make sure that these statements are not included on your labels or inner/outer packaging.

Integration of Climate Change into Management Systems

International Organization for Standardization (ISO) management system standards are being developed to support the London Declaration on Climate Change. Climate Change related clauses have been added to all the following standards. All revisions should be made to the following management systems.

Certified organizations should ensure that they consider Climate Change aspects and risks in the development, maintenance and effectiveness of their management systems.

Climate Change, along with other issues, should be determined to be relevant, and if relevant, management systems standards should be assessed within the scope of the risk assessment.
Where an organization operates more than one management system, it should ensure that Climate Change is assessed within the scope of each management system standard, if it is determined to be relevant.

When considering climate change issues and risks, the organization should determine whether climate change is relevant to the company and, if relevant, should be addressed in a risk assessment under the management systems standards.
Attention should be paid to specific sectors (e.g. energy production, agriculture and fisheries) and characteristics of the organization (e.g. geographical location, supply chain structure or workforce dynamics).

As such, certified organizations are required to address climate change considerations as per clauses 4 and 6 of the management system standards.

ISO 27001:2022 Transition Announcement

GENERAL INFORMATION
The ISO/IEC 27001 Information Security Management System Standard was revised by the International Standards Organization (ISO) and published in October 2022. A 3-year period was envisaged for the transition and the deadline was set as 31.10.2025. After this date, ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certificates will no longer be valid.

TRANSITION PLAN
As TGS, we have planned ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certifications and transition process as stated below.

a) Explanation for Organizations Applying for Certification for the First Time
Initial certification applications according to ISO/IEC 27001:2013 will be accepted until 31.10.2023 and only initial certification applications according to ISO/IEC 27001:2022 will be accepted as of 01.11.2023.
As of 01.11.2023, the first certification audits will be conducted according to ISO/IEC 27001:2022 (accredited certificates will be issued after the accreditation scope of TGS is published by TÜRKAK/IAS).

b) Explanation for Certified Organizations
All organizations certified by TGS according to ISO/IEC 27001:2013 will be transitioned according to the results of the surveillance and recertification audits to be carried out following the harmonization of their existing management systems with ISO/IEC 27001:2022 version.
If the transition audit is performed together with the surveillance audit, 1 Audit/Day will be added to the duration of the surveillance audit.
If the transition is to be made with a recertification audit, 0.5 Audit/Day will be added to the duration of the Certificate Renewal audit.
If the transition is requested with a separate transition audit, it will be carried out with a minimum of 1 Audit/Day audit.
As of 01.11.2023, initial certification and recertification audits will only be performed according to ISO/IEC 27001:2022.

*The related transition will not change the existing certification cycle.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR COMPLIANCE WITH THE CHANGES

1) Identification and closure of gaps within the organization in accordance with ISO/IEC 27001:2022;
2) Preparation of the Implementation plan for ISO/IEC 27001:2022 Transition;
3) Providing appropriate training and awareness to relevant people affecting the organization;
4) Update the existing management system to verify effectiveness and meet the requirements;
5) Share with us your transition plan to ensure the transition of your certificate according to the new standard.
